I still really hope Murray is smart enough to hang on to him. Alfie isn't going to be around forever and the Sens have no one at centre who's anywhere close to Spezza's level of talent. If he does have to go, though, I definitely think we should demand A-Rod in return. The Yankees could probably use a good playmaker. That’s too bad! Buffy is the best show ever, in fact. ;)

I don't really have anything against Buffy per se, but I had a psycho roommate in college who was obsessed with the show and it turned me right off the whole thing. I was talking to my parents the other night (transplanted Toronto fans who immediately jumped on the Senators bandwagon when they moved to Ottawa) and they make a good point re: Spezza. He's the only big name player on the pizza line that isn't totally untouchable. Alfredsson and Heatley aren't going anywhere and it's been Spezza's glaring inconsistencies that may be his undoing. He's a great player but unfortunately for the Sens (fans) he's the odd man out. The good news? You should be able to get any number of baseball players for him in return.
