This is a great signing at the right time...later would have cost more. I'm sure he's more worried about 09-10 for now, knowing a million things can happen before 10-11. Thinking ahead to 2010-11, a D-Corps of Phillips-Volchenkov-Kuba-Karlsson-Picard-Carkner-Cowen looks pretty good to me! Who knows if someone plays themselves out of a spot, gets dealt or has a major injury before then. Depending on the timing (this year, off-season, next camp), this could be a chance for Lee, Campoli or Wiercioch to step up. In Murray I trust!
